I am trying to do different things with the kids on the weekends - not just sit at home and go crazy.. the last post had us looking at the dragons and mango picking.
Last weekend, I took the kids to a local fete. It was a fun day - we were lucky to run into some friends so Jasper had a mate to hang out with, and Molly had his little sister to play with.
It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon!
Molly got to meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna!
And eat icecream... or rub it all over her face...
There was an animal petting zoo..
and a pony ride (this one was called Sweetie)
Jasper WAS there, I promise.. He was off with his friend, Ethan, and too cool to be close to his mum!
We had some sad news this week with the co-founder of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund passing away from prostate cancer, It was a real shock and I still do not have words to express my sadness, but this little poppet bought a smile to my face with her funky dance!
snuggle time with Norman
Madam showing off her reading skills...
This weekend, we went out for Dim Sum with my parents. After, there was ANOTHER fete at the local Open Space near their house, so we went for a look-see...
Molly and Poppie raced Jasper in the cars
The kids climbed the Scout rope
Then Molly and her Poppie went for a swim!
Smiling happy lad\.. I am sure it is the age, but I am OVER it!! Ha! Nothing is good enough, nothing is fun, only sitting at home on the xBox or TV is acceptable - or hanging out with mates!
Anyway, another week of school to get ready for.
Thanks for reading.
Brooke
