It is about 3 1/2 hour drive, and a cheeky stop for lunch is added, then we are in PARADISE.
The view from our back verandah... the grass was pretty dry, but it is summer in Australia!
Both boys on their phones.. (to be fair, dad was working, Jasper was just playing!)
Little Miss, teasing her Poppie!
pre-dinner drinks and nibbles
Kangaroo spotting the first night
There were some, but they were down the hill a bit. Molly didn't mind, she thought it was brilliant!
Closer roo spotting, from our verandah.
awwww, cutie asleep.
sprawling princess
Ahhh, my view every morning. It's a hard life.
Monday saw my dad and I walk about 9km on part of the Cape to Cape trail. I didn't take my phone, so am awaiting photos from dad's camera. It was beautiful, and brilliant! My dodgy hip gave up the fight after about 8km, so we walked to get mobile signal to get mummy to come rescue us! Oops!
Tuesday, dad took Jasper on a deep sea fishing trip.
Jasper got a bit sea sick, and didn't feel too good, but caught a beaut dhufish - it was delicious!!!
Mum and I took Molly to a local animal farm, and she was in HEAVEN!
Feeding a wild kangaroo to start..
Then some other animals...Jasper eating some of his fishy catch!
Molly gave it the thumbs up xx
Looking for kangaroos (again) with Grandy.
On the hunt with mumma, and the binoculars.
Nice quiet time.. together no less!
Wednesday we went to the Shearing Shed. It is a working farm, and they do a demonstration 5 days a week to bring in some extra $$ and share some knowledge.
Molly loved feeding the sheep out the front!
Jasper was a bit nervous at first.. I kept telling him they CAN'T bite, there are no top teeth there, but he was sceptical!
Jasper was pulled up by Steve the farm owner as his go-to kid to teach him how to hold the sheep about to get a haircut!
and then drag it back into the pen
feeding the baby lambs
Molly couldn't get enough of them, They were ALL her favourite!
Lunching Ladies at a winery
MORE kangaroo searching, with Grandie this timesometimes, I can't believe I made these two.
Look at that water. LOOK!
Mini-golf at Simmo's Ice Cream Shop.. the photos from the rest of the day are on Jasper's phone, so will follow on another post...
Needless to say, double scoops were had, there was a camel ride involved, and some laser tag (Call Of Duty style, too!)
Apparently Poppie makes the best fried eggs!
More lunching, this time at Clancy's Fish Pub
too cool for school..
dancing queen!
early morning snuggles ;)
hanging at the deer farm - we got some venison for dinner - and let me tell you, Bambi is delicious!
How I spent my afternoons... napping and reading! I read 2 1/2 books in the week,,, I cannot tell you the last time that happened!!
practicing ball skills
final sunset - with the obligatory glass of wine!
black feet on the blonde princess - what an adventure!
