Year Three So Far...

This is a typical image in our house after school.. Jasper at the computer desk, working, working, working!!

Year three has been a BIG shock.. and not just for him!!

Jasper has never been a fast worker, and while that might fly in first and second grade, it certainly does not fly now!

He has been bringing a bit of extra work home some nights... Sometimes it is a bit more than a little bit!! (and we are only in week 4!!)

Hopefully he will learn to stop procrastinating and flirting at schoolm and get his head down to work!!

Television is a thing of the past, come Monday to Friday. There is very little time for stopping between all the after school things we have on, getting homework done, and bed time!

It makes it hard for Molly. After having my undivided attention all day, she finds it quite unacceptable that I am not at her beck and call after school - and neither is her brother. Poor kid!
It is good when Paul is home and can manage to get home early from the office, but that is a lucky day. He is either in another state working, or in the Perth office working.

The trouble that Jasper has is that he gives up easily. He gets one thing wrong, or can't read one word, and he stops. You can actually see the shutters come down. It is very frustrating... and I don't deal with it too well (as I am sure my neighbours can attest to!).

It is a learning curve, and hopefully my feelings of inadequacy pass, and Jasper's work rate increases, so we can all be happy!

Thanks for reading.

Brooke
