School Certificate and Lapathon

Hi again,

Well, we have had a great day so far today. Jasper had a school assembly this morning, and he got his first Merit Certificate!

It was for having a go at writing a story, and using the sounds in words to write them down! It is a big step for Jasper, as he gets really frustrated with writing.

He has been desperate to get a certificate, and this morning was it!

He had to stand on the stage and smile away. I was worried he would crack a tantrum and cry or refuse to go up, but he was so great! I told him it was all part of the adventure of growing up..

I did take some photos when he was on the stage, but they are too dark, I cant upload them..

Later on the same day, there was a lap-a-thon where the kids get donations from family and friends to raise money for the school, then run/walk around the school oval.

It had rained all morning, and was really wet!

Jasper raised a bit of cash, and had a ball. Here are some of those photos!

Jasper ended up doing 12 laps - running most of them! he was shattered, but really proud of himself!!!

Come back soon, there are some very exciting things for me to share about the FA Day Family BBQ we had here in Perth today.. I am just too tired to do it tonight..
