The White Mountains Part 1

This is the site that greeted us upon our arrival at the accommodation we booked for the White Mountains, New Hampshire.
Breathtaking. Beautiful. Brilliant.
Here is what the place looks like (well, this is the one across the road, but they all look the same.)
If you feel the need to yodel, don't worry, so did I!!!
We unpacked, did a shop for some food, and had a good night sleep.

The next morning saw us down the road to Story Land.
We came here a few years ago with Jasper, and it was just as much fun this time... It was a nice mild day, and we got there for opening at 9am.
Molly was scared of Humpty Dumpty (his eyes moved..) so I had to sit with her.
Mary, Mary Quite Contrary had a little house.

The little old lady who lived in a shoe... there is an actual old lady in there, sitting in a rocking chair, giving the kids stickers as they pass through!
There is a tree who talks. He gives instruction on where the bathrooms etc are, where to go if you're lost, and who you should see... I think he is a wishing tree.. You can write on little leaves and put them on the branches.

Jasper was Papa Bear... Molly was too quick up the stairs to bother with empty bowls and little chairs!
Little Miss Muffett and her big brother with the big scary spider.
Jammin' on the piano. Giant style.
 The tiger and the tamer...
4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie...
there were the 3 little pigs, but they were all snuggled up asleep, so we found the big bad wolf!!
 Heading into the castle/rides area...
Posing with her arms back.. not quite sure what she is going on about here...
not one to be left out...
 Pumpkin ride!
Molly got to meet Cinderella! She was panicked that her dress wasn't right and kept fussing with it before she went up! They had a big cuddle! Jasper didn't want to sit with her!
Molly had to put her head in the lions mouth for a drink... she was braver than me.
Jasper milking the cow. He wanted to show his sister, but she was scared and didn't want to have a turn.
 Riding on the baby elephant.
Looking nervous on the ferris wheel.
looking cool on the ferris wheel.
Molly had her very first taste of soda... she wasn't too sure (for about 20 seconds...)
 awwwww
Jasper driving his daddy on the old cars..
Molly driving mummy on the old cars...

On our REST DAY, we went to Walmart, mini golf, and a walk.
Paul and Jasper have a habit of going to all the mini-golf parks we can find... this one is a repeat from a few years ago, not much has changed, so it was still awesome!!
We have a new recruit to the mini golf addiction.. she is 36" tall, blonde and cute!

Pretty nice background...

Next time... a report on Santa's Village and some photos from the walk I went on with the kids this afternoon... with my new camera!!! (thanks husband).

Thanks for reading.

Brooke
